Export-grade packing for international moves

An international move is handled many times between your old home and the new one: truck, port, crane, vessel and truck again. Export packing is built for that journey, not for a ride across town.

Export packing

Moving Services export packing uses wooden or plastic crates designed for china, glassware and delicate items, individual protection for furniture and appliances, and biodegradable materials. Every package is numbered on the inventory customs requires.

What makes this packing different

  • Wooden or plastic crates for china, glassware and instruments.
  • Individual protection for furniture, mirrors and appliances.
  • Custom crates for artwork and irregular pieces.
  • Numbered packages that match the customs inventory.
  • Biodegradable materials under our environmental management plan.

Wood goes through customs too

Wooden packaging shipped between countries must meet the international ISPM 15 standard, with treatment and a stamp. Countries such as Chile or Australia check it strictly, so we factor it in when crating.

Questions about export packing

Can I pack myself and have you just ship?

It is possible, but insurance and customs work better with professional packing and a numbered inventory; we discuss it when quoting.

What is ISPM 15?

The international standard for wooden packaging: it requires pest treatment and a stamp certifying it.

How long does packing an apartment take?

It depends on volume; we set it during the survey and schedule it with loading.

Do you disassemble and reassemble furniture?

Yes, disassembly at origin is part of packing and reassembly at destination is coordinated with our agent.
